2Turs was founded by Jacky Zheng, an undergraduate studying Health and Societies at the University of Pennsylvania. After experiencing success through education, he had no trouble understanding why there was such a high demand for tutors across the nation.
What he didn't understand were the prices.
As he continued growing and gaining experience as a tutor, he found that many others shared his sentiment.

After seeing services offered for double, triple, even 5x our own compensation,
we decided enough was enough.
Having access to a valuable human resource for greater access to education should not come at the cost of hundreds of dollars an hour.
Because the reality is, tutors rarely get paid even a FRACTION of what the consumer pays. Middlemen companies always take the vast majority of the money for their own profit.
This is not fair. Why have so much money funneled to the hands of executives and managers when the vast majority of the work is done by the student and their tutor?
